Baramee Resortel


We have a new reader submission, about another Baramee Resortel horror story, these guys that run Baramee really know how to steal and cheat customers!!!

"Dear my friend
I'm Thai woman and had bad experience about Baramee Resotel, I have looked room for me and BF and for my boss. i found Baramee Resotel on Baramee Rd., It's nice hotel and good service. I reserved for 4 months for me and 1 month for my boss.Khun Kao , assistant front manager told me I have to pay 2 months is 30,000 baht and on 27th of July I have to pay 30,000 baht for August and September.I checked in on 5th June 2010 and piad for 2 months 30,000 baht,not matter I were happy to pay and have nice room. I'm restaurant manager of the coffee shop,i'm good person,honest and follow rule of hotel and everwhere that I go. I always take out key for electric ( I separate key for room and electric) and put in wardrobe.Maid always clean my room on Tuesday and Friday and give me 2 bottles of drinkgin water everyday,everything was good until 8th of July I went to work at 3.30pm and came back room about 1.30am, key for electric was put on ready for ture on light and air condition. I was suprise after that I looked for my necklace that I have put in drawer,under my underwers,it's lost.I called reception told him then called Khun Kao. Khun Kao told me he would call reception then call me. Reception didn't come to my room and he said maybe maid took it because few days aog another guest room 216 complaint that his money was lost. 30 mins later Khun Kao called me tomorrow he would find out and looked at CCTV. I couldn't sleep until 9am. Khun Kao called me and we went to police station and I got document that I lose my necklace. Owner and all staffs knew maid was thief. Since 9th July, nobody informed me about my necklace. I have asked Khun Kao on 16th of July he said couldn't arrest her because we didn't have testimony. I was disappoinment. Necklace isn't high value but was gift that my BF gave me before he went to Switzerland. Today is 22th of July I came back to room at 6am. hotel's telephone is lost I thought staff took out so I sent Khun Kao sms , if I have problem same before or I want to call reception how can I do????? and wrote "Please tell me if I'm bad guest for hotel I will move out 5th of August" I'm waiting for his answer. However I want to move after my necklace was lost. I wish to move because unsecurity hotel and bad service. I want to tell everybody "Don't go to Baramee Resotel", in Patong you can find good service and safety hotel.

My worst ever experience in about 10 years of massive amounts of travelling, from March 3rd, 2008 at Baramee Resortel in Phuket Thailand

If anyone ever visits Phuket, I'd like to give you a tip, a warning, about Baramee Resortel
1. I booked online at: http://www.phuket.com/barameeresortel/ 2 rooms, 1 for me and my gf, and 1 for my bro and his wife
2. we arrive, everything goes smoothly, we checkin, couple hours later that night the hotel guy said we need to pay an extra 4800 baht because we have "extra" guests (my girlfriend and my bro's wife), we were like **that!!! why didnt he charge us before at chckin?? we said we would not pay, he said we have to, we said no, website didnt require the fee, the ppl on the phone didnt say needed the fee, and we checked in without the fee
3. talked with hotel manager on the phone, he wouldnt budge, demanded we paid, so we got our bags, and checked out, and he then called my girlfriend a hooker, and started talking shit to other customers there about us, it got ALMOST to fighting mentality (after he called my girlfriend a hooker just because she is Thai), he deserved to get knocked out, we are better ppl than that so nothing physical happend
4. they wouldnt refund us, but the refund is in the works thru our credit card company

this place VERY unprofessional, ignorant, and VERY crooked

just always know, that Baramee Resortel in Phuket Thailand is a crooked group of people and business

I searched for the spa for about 10minutes, couldnt find it, until i found out it's 3 chairs with mat on it, NOT a spa


Not sure why they chose to put a big wall to block the sun from reaching the pool
